1. Who We Are

Archaelnet ("we", "us", "our") develops ChoreQuest: Kids Chore Tracker. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families. Contact us at: privacy@archaelnet.com

2. Information We Do NOT Collect from Children

We do not collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13, including:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers
• Location data
• Photos or videos
• Usage analytics linked to personal identity
• Behavioural data for advertising

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device (or your family's private iCloud) and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Child profile (first name and avatar — entered by parent)
• App usage progress (e.g., lessons completed, stories read)
• In-app content created by the child (journal entries, drawings)

This data is protected by iOS device encryption and your Apple ID credentials.

4. Parent Account (Sign in with Apple)

Parent accounts use Apple's "Sign in with Apple" feature. We receive only an anonymised Apple-assigned user identifier. We do not receive your name or email address unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not process or store payment information.

5. No Advertising

ChoreQuest contains absolutely no advertising — no banner ads, no video ads, no sponsored content, and no advertising networks. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) of any kind.

6. No Third-Party Analytics on Children

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services that process children's personal information. Any aggregate analytics we collect are anonymous and cannot be used to identify any individual user.

7. No Social Features

The app does not include any social networking features, chat functions, public profiles, or mechanisms for children to communicate with other users.

8. External Links

Any links to external websites within the app (e.g., privacy policy, terms) are accessible only through a parental gate that requires an adult to verify access. Children cannot access external links without parental involvement.

9. Children's Privacy — COPPA Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Australia's Privacy Act 1988, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as they apply to children's apps. We do not:

• Knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• Use persistent identifiers to track children across apps or websites
• Share children's information with third parties

10. In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. All purchases require parental authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or Apple ID password). We do not have access to payment information. Subscriptions can be managed and cancelled in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

11. Data Deletion

To delete all app data, simply delete the app from your device. This removes all locally stored data. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove iCloud data by going to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you through the app or via the App Store update notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
